DefParameter

• DefParameter[parameter] defines symbol parameter to be a real parameter.

• Currently parameter must be a valid Mathematica symbol, not in use in the present session with any other meaning. In the future a pattern will also be valid to allow for "indexed names".
•  Parameters, together with manifolds, are the only possible dependencies of objects.
•  A parameter cannot have servants.
• Options:
Info                {"parameter",""}    information on the parameter
Master            Null                master symbol for the parameter
PrintAs            Identity            string or function of symbol for output
ProtectNewSymbol    $ProtectNewSymbols    whether to protect new symbol or not
