$Version

• $Version is a global variable giving the version of the package xTensor` in use.

• The output is a list with a string containing the version (for example "0.9.3") and the date (in Mathematica format; for example {2007, 11, 6}).
• Other xAct packages, like xPerm`, have their own global variable $Version.
